Mersaco organized a "Prostate Cancer Awareness Lecture" event at the Smallville Hotel on November 24th in collaboration with the "Barbara Nassar Association."

The session began with a presentation led by Mr. Hani Nassar, Founder of the Barbara Nassar Association, to more than 120 Mersaco employees, during which he shared his wife Barbara's journey in fighting and defeating breast cancer. He explained how the agony they experienced inspired them to establish the association to provide care, guidance, and support to cancer patients, and shared marvelous milestones they achieved in reducing cancer patients’ hurdles when it comes to access to therapy.

This emotional presentation was followed by a prostate cancer patient’s inspiring success story. He fought bravely and defeated the disease, despite all the challenges and socioeconomic factors he lived in.

Professor Fady Nasr, Head of the Oncology-Hematology Department at Hotel-Dieu de France, then emphasized the importance of early detection of prostate cancer and encouraged men over 50 to undergo a colonoscopy and PSA test, as this routine checkup remains missed or delayed for many years.
