On Wednesday, January 11th, Mersaco and Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, under the patronage of the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon, had the pleasure of hosting a lecture presented by Dr. Elie Nemer entitled "Role of the Pharmacist in improving the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction and its underlying causes."

Dr. Sonia Ojeimi, Country Manager of Tabuk Pharmaceuticals, started the event with the honoring of Dr. Joe Salloum, the President of the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon for his countless efforts in sustaining the pharmaceutical field during the present crisis. 

Dr. Elie Nemer, M.D Professor and Chairman of Urology at Hotel-Dieu de France Hospital and Vice-Dean at Saint Joseph University, provided an overview of erectile dysfunction, its causes and treatment options available. He highlighted the importance of discussing  erectile dysfunction with a physician in order to determine the best course of treatment and emphasized the need for pharmacists to prioritize patient safety and ensure high quality of care by dispensing medications abiding by the standards.

At the end of the lecture, Dr. Sonia Ojeimi detailed to the pharmacists "The Patient Support Program" that is conducted by Mersaco, upon the approval of the MOPH, that helps patients adhere to their treatment with Herox 5mg.

With the attendance of around 300 pharmacists, the lecture was of great success and a reminder of pharmacists for their important role in patient's education.
